The LG 42inch LED is a very good tv for the price, you will be hard pressed to find a better tv. This tv is a BASIC model. It doesnt feature any of the internet connectivity that has become almost standard today but it does have a great picture. Out of the box you will have to “tweek” the picture settings to your liking. The sound isnt great but I havent owned a flat panel tv that actually does have great sound by itself. I would recommend purchasing some sort of surround sound system. The only real complaint I have is that 120mhz is still a little slow if you plan on using this tv for gaming. I currently have a PS3 connected and some of the action appears slightly blurry. The blurriness is minor though. Watching basketball or football on the tv is great, no real lag as far as I have seen. All in all this is a great tv, I purchased it for 500 and am very happy. FYI, make sure that you register this tv on the LG website, it is simple to do and will activate your warranty. You will also have the option to buy an extended warranty through LG.
